A Miss penalty is assessed when the shooter fails to score a hit in the designated area on a target as defined in the shooters briefing.

HOSTAGE

40 seconds

A Hostage penalty is assessed when the shooter scores a hit on a no shoot target as designated in the shooters briefing.

PROCEDURAL

60 seconds

A Procedural penalty is assessed when a shooter violates a procedural rule established in the shooters briefing.

Examples are:

• Failure to do a mandatory reload.
• Failure to engage targets in prescribed sequence.
• Failure to use cover.
